You cannot believe the racket these little guys make, beginning at 4:25 AM. It's just as if someone sets an alarm and they all go tweeting together to make the loudest alarm you can imagine. Only there's no off button, no snooze button. They quiet down just before 7AM.
For more pics that I took this AM see the flickr set May Morning at the Marina
Another fact of living on or near the water are spiders. What's interesting right now is that there is so much pollen in the air that the spider webs are fuzzing up. It's incredibly hard to get photos of spider webs, but these should give you an idea.

We're still unpacking and moving stuff onto the boat.
It's a challenge. I think I'll take pics and describe the process once it's done. Right now, in process, it's just too challenging to try to photojournal it.
If Jeff tells me one more time "it's not all going to fit" I think I'll scream.
Thanks for the update, Marji. Birdy slide show was great. ;-) I love hearing how you are doing.
ReplyDeleteBTW, you inspired me to try to find my parents boat. It was built by Ron Rawson. He built a model sailboat that was about 30-35 feet I think and also built fishing boats. My parents hull was a fiberglass originally designed for a fishing boat? Anyway, nice power boat about 46'-48'...can't remember. Some other boat using her name now and I don't know what happened to ours. So, love hearing about your experience, even if you are sail and we were power. Being born and raised in Seattle, I saw everything at the Yacht Club. ;-)
I remember those guys. They do make quite a ruckus in the morning! I hope everything fits and that you'll soon be settled comfortably.
ReplyDeletebtw, the loom is warped and ready for me to start weaving. :)
Wishing you well, Marji!!
ReplyDeleteBut they're darling.
ReplyDeleteNot so much the spiders.
